Eugene Sarduy didn’t have an easy life, but you would never know by talking to him. He was always cheerful, joking and positive. Several months after we started the SFDJA he had a stroke. He recovered and continued to be a friend and active member of our group. Many of us worked with him on gigs and he always let you know how much he appreciated the opportunity. He was a nice , good person and lord knows we need alot more of those here on this planet. Various health issues contributed to his untimely passing and it shocked us all.
On February 8 at a small service at Tropical Park we said goodbye to Eugene in our own ways. DJ Ralph Sosa collected funds to give to the family in their time of need. Ozzie Ramirez of SOBE GRAPHICS created a beautiful banner with various pictures of Eugene. His mixes played while we gathered with friends and family. We’ll miss him. The South Florida DJ Association
