Miami Loves Marc Staggers “Bring it Home to Me”

Miami Loves Marc Staggers “Bring it Home to Me”

DSG Music has consistently release quality product to the point that I will play anything with their logo The new single by Marc Staggers ” Bring it Home to Me” was no exception. Staggers’ smooth vocals capture the feel and groove of Luther Vandross while adding his own unique stylings. Recently at a few events around town I broke out this track and received a great response on the dancefloor, pleasing both R&B fans and Classic Disco aficionados who detected some musical inspirations from Eddie Kendricks. The track worked so well I ended up playing it two more times during the course of the evening, a nice refreshing break from all the fast tempo dance material we so often focus on as DJs. ” Bring it Home to Me” seems to be on course to be a huge hit for the Disco Soul Gold label.

Marc Staggers started singing in the church choir and studied voice as he was growing up. His initial foray into music started with the release of several gospel albums, on which he worked with talented singers such as the late Clifton Dyson. During his college years, he also studied music with an emphasis on voice, and after graduating college, Staggers continued to study voice under the direction of the world-renowned soprano, Nelda Ormond, under whom he began to recognize his true singing talent, and Ormond was pivotal in helping Marc gain the confidence he needed to pursue a singing career.
Staggers has released four albums to date, the last being the 2015, ”Dream Catcher” set on Ralph Tee’s Expansion records which contained, ”Bring Me Back” that appeared in the higher regions of the Soul charts.
In listening to Staggers silky Soul voice you can hear the soulful class of such legendary vocalists in it as, Will Downing, Freddy Jackson or indeed Luther Vandross. After listening to Marc Staggers albums, I really felt we could, Bring It Home for maybe the song he has been waiting to record all his life, coincidentally Nigel Lowis had written, Bring Love Back in part, through machinery demo’ed it out by Bobby Lattimore as a rare track that made people look through their collections in which somebody indeed said they had a copy of this rare invented 7 inch single.
I mentioned to Lord Gary Spence from Solar Radio that we had this part written song that would suite a legendary Soul singer, to which Spence replied, Marc Staggers I will get him to ring you!
The rest as the say is history, Marc finished writing the missing verses and Nigel Lowis went in to production, which I hope you will agree is one of our best DSG release to date.
Marc Staggers – Bring It Home To Me – Nigel Lowis part one & The Connoisseurs Mix part two to be released on DSG on Friday 26th February 2016.
