On any given weekend you can still hear ” Come to Me” or one of her countless hit songs playing somewhere in South Florida. Her music has been part of Miami’s soundtrack since it was first released in 1979. There is not one person that grew up here during the 70s that doesn’t know the words to most of her songs and there is not one guy that didn’t fall in love with the face on her debut album. The Art of Disco Dancing ( Hustling) very much alive on Miami’s dance floors, spins and dips to the sounds of France’s hits. ” Her music defines the period for me, it transports me back in time and takes control of my body. It is such a ” Happy” music [ Disco ] and there hasn’t been music like it since. We are fortunate to be able to see these artist up close and personal at such venues as this. Thanks to guys like Charlie Rodriguez” says local ” Hustler” Tommy Landez a self described “Die Hard” Disco fan.
